 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES

National President Jon Walker called the Annual Membership Meeting of the Family Motor Coach Association to order at 9:16 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, in Minot, North Dakota.

President Walker called on FMCA Chaplain Dane Bailey for the Invocation. National Secretary Gaye Young led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. Sarah Getto led the singing of the “Canadian National Anthem” and the “United States National Anthem.”
National Secretary Gaye Young presented the Secretary’s report. The reading of the minutes of the July 21, 2018, Annual Membership Meeting held in Gillette, Wyoming, was waived, and the minutes were approved as distributed.

National Treasurer John Reynolds presented the Treasurer’s Report. He reported that revenue is up $106,553 over this time in fiscal year 2018. He also reported that operating expenses are down, and the big saving continues to be FMCAssist, which is down $375,469.

President Walker accepted the Treasurer’s Report for file. President Jon Walker presented the President’s report. He noted that the state of our association is good. He reported that 24 of the last 25 months have had positive membership growth and that over the last year, FMCA has acquired new partnerships, which has contributed to an additional $500,000 in revenue. He shared that the Governing Board approved a balanced budget for fiscal year 2020, which has enough of a surplus to allow FMCA to begin rebuilding the reserves and investments accounts. He shared that the budget also includes the funding to continue providing the FMCAssist Medical Emergency and Travel Assistance Program benefit. He expressed his thanks and appreciation for FMCAs CEO Chris Smith, and the national office staff in Cincinnati, Ohio, and especially for his wife, Sondra.

Special Recognition Awards were presented to outgoing officers: Gaye Young, National Secretary, and her husband, Jerry; Barbara Smith, Northeast Area National Vice President, and her husband, Ed; and Jack Mayberry, Rocky Mountain Area National Vice President, and his wife, Connie.

National officer attachment plates were presented to the incoming officers: Kathie Balogh, National Secretary, and her husband Andy; John Traphagen, Northeast Area National Vice President, and his wife, Sharon; and Jamie Erickson, Rocky Mountain Area National Vice President, and his wife, Galina.

President Walker presented Jeannie Carey, F384182, of the Arkansas Travelers Chapter, with FMCA’s Robert L. Richter Award. This award is presented to an individual who is responsible for communications to and about an FMCA chapter.

President Walker presented Ross Boyer, F268985, with FMCA’s Kenneth T. Scott Pipe Dreamer’s Award. The Executive Board bestows this award on an individual who has earned the gratitude of FMCA by some exceptionally worthy or beneficial service to FMCA or to family motor coach owners in general.

Cape Cod Rally

Hi Everyone!

The recent FMCA Rally at Scusset Beach on the Cape Cod Canal was attended by 37 motorhomes from over 5 FMCA Chapters.  The Metropolitan Chapter had 5 members in attendance.

The weather was fantastic.  The Breakfasts, Barbeques and Ice Cream Social were great!  The people were terrific.  A really good time was had by all.  Try to mark your calendars for next year to attend this fantastic get-together.

We are planning our next get-together at the FMCA Northeast Area Rally (NEAR) in Syracuse, NY.
A group will be going in a day early on the 23rd of July and we plan to park together and schedule some barbeques and dinners out on the town while there.  Please let us know if you are going to attend so we can include you in our planning as well.  Hope to see you there!

fraudulent email circulating from a mat matson

We have been informed and asked to send this information out to our membership by Charlotte Lawyer.

There is a fraudulent email circulating from a mat matson.  It says fmca has sent you a document click here to view .

Do not open.  It is not from FMCA.  Put it in your junk or spam folder

I have talked to FMCA about this and they are investigating.

Thanks
